Saudi Arabia Officially Validates BugVape™ for Early Red Palm Weevil Detection
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, in coordination with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and regional plant-health authorities, has officially completed an evaluation of BugVape™ technology, confirming its effectiveness as an early-detection technology for Red Palm Weevil infestations.
The assessment, conducted through structured field trials across Riyadh, Al-Sharqiya, and Al-Qassim, validated BugVape technology as capable of identifying infestations at the earliest stages. These results provide a strong scientific and regulatory foundation for integrating BugVape into Saudi Arabia’s national palm protection and pest-control programs.
