Scientific Validation by Egypt’s Agricultural Research Center
BugVape™ has been scientifically validated by the Agricultural Research Center (ARC) of Egypt’s Ministry of Agriculture, through the Central Laboratory for Date Palm Research and Development, one of the region’s most authoritative research bodies in palm pest control.
Between March 2019 and February 2020, EASTWIND, under the supervision of ARC specialists, conducted controlled field trials using BugVape’s technologyg to detect Red Palm Weevil infestations. These trials confirmed that BugVape is capable of identifying infestations at the earliest stages, long before external symptoms appear.
Based on this evidence, the Central Laboratory officially confirmed that BugVape is a high-efficiency early-detection technology and recommended its use as an effective tool for the early diagnosis and control of Red Palm Weevil—significantly improving intervention speed, treatment success, and long-term palm protection.
This certification positions BugVape as one of the few scientifically approved bio-detection systems for Red Palm Weevil in the Middle East and North Africa.
